- Chickpeas — 1/2 Cup
- Pearl barley — 1/3 Cup
- Red lentils — 2/3 Cup
- Rice — 1/3 Cup
- Water — 2.5-3 Liters
- Onion — 1 Piece
- Garlic — 2 Cloves
- Bay leaf — 1 Piece
- Rosemary — 1 teaspoon (dried)
- Salt — 1 teaspoon
How to make “Nourishing soup mixture Bobov and cereals”
Prepare all the necessary ingredients. To barley prepared simultaneously with the other cereals and legume, I soaked it in cold water for 6 hours.
A mixture of legumes (lentils, chickpeas) rinse well until the water after washing will not remain completely transparent.
Tolstoganova in a saucepan, heat vegetable oil, add the lentils, chickpeas and pre-soaked barley. On slow fire fry the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
Then send in a saucepan the rice, you can also add buckwheat. Pour water (or broth). The amount of water can vary depending on how thick soup you want. I love to eat this soup, so it was something of a cross between a soup and a porridge that had a lot of thick and a little liquid. Send the pot on the fire and simmer after boiling for about 10 minutes.
Then in a pan add coarsely chopped onion, salt, spices to taste, be sure rosemary (fresh or dried), garlic. Cover soup with a lid and cook until tender (about 20-30 minutes). If the soup looks too thick, add more water. If too thin, the lid does not cover. 10 minutes before readiness add the Bay leaf and try for salt.
Nourishing soup is ready. Serve hot!
