Sbiten — the ancient Russian drink which when-that there was not a single festive meal. In the winter it is an excellent alternative to tea. But the drink can be prepared at any time of the year.
Description of preparation:
Sbiten is a very useful vitamin drink. If you cook it in winter, use dried herbs. By the way, from dried herbs to the drink you can also put a little St. John’s wort or chamomile flowers will be even more aromatic and healthier.
- Water — 1 Liter
- Med — 170 Grams
- Ginger powder — 0,5 tsp
- Cloves — 4 Pieces
- Mint — 1 Bunch (fresh or dried)
- Melissa All Along — 1 Bunch
How to cook “Sbiten”
Prepare the necessary ingredients for a drink. The herbs soak in cold water for a few minutes, then rinse under a strong water.
In a saucepan, mix the honey and water. Put on slow fire and bring to a boil.
In a pan put the spices and herbs. Cover with cold water and bring to a boil, simmer for 2-3 minutes. Turn off the heat.
Ready sbiten filter from herbs and serve to the table, spilling the glasses.
