Once I read that this recipe for cooking ribs in the canadian way is a great success in one Montreal restaurant, I decided to try and I liked it, and the sauce incredible!
Description of preparation:
Generally in a classic recipe for cooking ribs in the canadian way, the sauce should cook until thick on a slow fire, but I decided to simplify and clean up this phase of cooking ribs.
- Pork ribs — 1 Kg
- Apple — 1 Piece
- Tomato sauce — 100 Grams
- Brown sugar — 1 tbsp. spoon
- Soy sauce — 3 Tbsp. spoon
- Salt — 1 Pinch
- Black pepper — 0,3 teaspoons
- Cayenne pepper — – to taste
- Ground cinnamon — 0,5 tsp
- Garlic dry ground — 0,5 teaspoons
- Smoked paprika — 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice — 1-2 tbsp. spoons

How to cook “Ribs canadian”
So, let’s prepare everything you need to create meals ingredients.
Apple we need in order to make it a puree. In fact, you can take a ready-made puree (bought it in the store), but I prefer to do everything yourself. Apple peel and core, then cut it into fairly large pieces. Next, put the slices in a bowl, cover with clingfilm and put in microwave. Hold there fruit for 5-10 minutes, then fluff with a fork until puree state. You can bake apples in the oven.
In a separate container mix all the marinade ingredients (including applesauce). It will be all the ingredients, except directly to the ribs.
Now put in the marinade the ribs themselves. Very thoroughly mix them so that the marinade thoroughly covered ribs. Leave to marinate from one to three hours.
After this time put the ribs in a greased baking pan. On top pour the remaining marinade and cover with foil. Bake in the oven at 180-200 degrees for an hour. After you remove the foil, and the ribs bake with convection for another half hour (the temperature is better to reduce the degree to 170-160).
